I Was Sick!

In my defense, I was sick. However, I feel that the pugs were taking advantage of me and my incapacity. I slept this way for hours. I'd also like to note that I don't normally dress in such a white trash fashion. But an old pug t-shirt and sweatpants seemed the way to go.
You know, now that I think about it, I am more angry with my husband for taking this photo. I was vulnerable and defenseless. At least the pugs were trying to commiserate with me.
I was sick!

Frank: My first pug baby

My first pug came to us as a tiny puppy. My daughters named him Frank (taken from the Men in Black movies). He really was just like a human toddler. I spent most of my days yelling:
"What's in your mouth?" or "Why's the dog so quiet?" or my favorite "Who peed on the floor?". These were legitimate questions since I had a puppy and toddler at the same time. The toddler and the pug even shared pacifiers.

But you know what? Both of them are growing up. Frank is now 3 years old. He enjoys sleeping most of the day. I always say that Frank would make an excellent therapy dog for a coma patient. He's even started to get some grey hairs on his chin.  And the toddler, well, she starts Kindergarten this coming fall.

Anybody else's baby grow up too fast?

Bert: I am a big boy

I'm going to start out this blog by first introducing each of the pets. We'll save the kids for later. They get enough attention.
The first pet I'd like to introduce is our younger pug Bert. Bert will turn 2 on May, 31. Bert is about the biggest purebred pug I've ever seen. Okay, here's the truth. The boy weighs 32 pounds. I feel like I need to defend him about his size issues. He really is a big-boned pug. He stands taller and longer than any other pug I know.
I equate his size with my husband (insert innuendo here). I mean...my husband is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs accordingly. You could say he is above-average in size. Bert falls into the 95-plus percentile for height and weight.
Here's some photographic evidence:

You can also see that he is extremely handsome. So anyone else have a plus-sized pug?
